So, very last minute, me and Redmond got tickets to see Uh Huh Her at The Arches last night. It seemed like another great opportunity to take out my camera again to shoot this gig, since I really enjoyed shooting Jay Brannan 2 nights prior.
I’ve always loved The L Word and Alice was one of my favourite characters, so it seemed appropriate to try and snap a few of her instead of her other bandmate, who I didn’t even got a photo of at all…
The gig was mobbed: about 800 girls and a few guys. At one point, a group of girls shouted, “LOOK! MEN ARE HERE!”

Last night I had the pleasure of seeing Jay Brannan for the second time at the King Tut’s in Glasgow. This was the last leg of his UK tour, for which he told us he would be travelling to Paris the very next day to perform a few shows in the rest of Europe.
I’ve been following his work for the past few years since he appeared in the film, “Shortbus” written and directed by John Cameron Mitchell and have been captivated by his music and honesty. He has this raw emotion in his voice and a charm-quality which I don’t think he’s even aware he has, which completely melts the audience. I can’t wait for him to tour the UK again soon.
His third album, “Rob Me Blind” is available on iTunes now. -

This kinda freaked me out recently: I showed this photo to my family and they pointed out that it looked like that the people in this photo are looking at a light-shaped crucifix symbol from the other side of the road. Weird since I have never noticed this before, but it is an old one, so I thought I would upload because I quite like it..

My name is Francis J Smith and I am a photographer from Glasgow. This a collection of my most recent work. I am currently in my second year at The City Of Glasgow College studying my HND in photography.
